The mission of Mojiire SupportHer is to empower young minority women through mentorship, education, and support, enabling them to become confident and successful leaders. We provide mentorship, educational resources, and a supportive community to help young women overcome challenges, build self-esteem, develop leadership skills, encourage our mentees, and help young women achieve their full potential and create a more equitable and empowered future.

Our vision is to empower and inspire the next generation of young minority women, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to reach their full potential and become successful leaders in their communities and beyond.

Zakiya Matthews, M. Ed.
Founder
Zakiya is a compassionate advocate for empowering and assisting women. Ms. Matthews is a Virginia native with two sisters and a loving mother supporting her. In 2015, she graduated from Norfolk State University with a bachelor's of science in Biology Pre- Professional and a chemistry minor. While attending NSU, Zakiya was also a Dozoretz National Institute for Mathematics and Applied Sciences scholar and learned the importance of mentor and mentee relationships. While Ms. Matthews attended NSU, she joined a prestigious sisterhood called Alpha Kappa Alpha Sororoity Inc., where she met illustrious women with whom she formed a sincere bond. After graduating from NSU, she pursued her master's in education at Elizabeth City State University while teaching Biology and Ecology at Churchland High School. Currently, Zakiya is embarking on an entrepreneurial journey to pursue her dream of helping women through Mojiire SupportHer Inc.
